The role of MDG as the SAP solution for master data management is the strategic solution for corporate-wide master data management and its key capabilities continue to include consolidation, central governance, and data quality management.

SAP Master Data Governance on SAP S/4HANA is a highly integrated application suite for enterprise master data management.

SAP Master Data Governance, cloud edition does not replace SAP Master Data Governance on S/4HANA. It is an additional deployment option.
