SAP S/4HANA is SAP’s next-generation business suite. It is not the legal successor of any SAP Business Suite product. SAP S/4HANA is a new product built on SAP HANA, which is one of the most advanced in-memory platforms today. Using the outcome of the report the customer can evaluate various options and recommendation on best fit and can decide on the roadmap and accelerators to reduce cost and manage risks. The customer can use the report to derive the benefits achieved by migrating to S4 HANA

Simplification Items and Activities Related to Simplification Items

  • SAP Readiness Check for SAP S/4HANA displays the simplification items that are relevant for your specific ECC to SAP S/4HANA Conversion. The simplification items are identified according to factors such as transactions used (USAGE that logs in ST03N), And Configs maintained in the system via table contents. The simplification items Relevancy stats are one of the most important means of preparing your Roadmap to SAP S/4HANA,

Integration (Interface Analysis)

Understanding a selection of required follow-up activities in the area of integration to prepare for SAP S/4HANA. This feature enables you to do the following:

Get a high-level overview of the custom code analysis executed by SAP Readiness Check. The table shows the custom code topic together with the impact type. If the ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) was executed in an SAP NetWeaver 7.52 system, SAP Readiness Check estimates the portion of findings that potentially have Quick Fix support. Once you have executed ATC in your SAP S/4HANA sandbox system, SAP Readiness Check can tell which findings actually have Quick Fix support, or belong to objects that are considered out of scope for the conversion.

The following features are available:

Get an overview of the master data for your customers, vendors, and contacts that needs to be synchronized before your conversion to SAP S/4HANA. This section indicates the expected efforts to activate and execute the Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI) in your SAP ERP system in order to convert your master data to SAP Business Partner in SAP S/4HANA. This section enables you to see the following:

  • The total number of your customers, vendors, and related contacts
  • Identified data quality issues (inconsistencies) in your master data
  • The number of unsynchronized customers and vendors in terms of the backlog for CVI in your SAP ERP system

SRC 2.0 Flavors

  • SAP Readiness Check 0 Can be Executed via 2 Options as Described below.

Discovery Phase

Execute program RC_COLLECT_ANALYSIS_DATA in transaction SA38 in the production system to download all checks except the consistency check in the zip file (more content information below) with two steps.

  • First step, make sure “Simplification Item Consistency” checkbox is NOTselected and click the button “Schedule Analysis” to schedule a job to collect data
  • Second step click the button “Download Analysis Data” after the job is completed.

Mandates for this phase

  • If you do not have the minimum ST-PI version (for 700 >=SP17 or for 740 >=SP07) unmark the checkbox for Data Volume Management and HANA Sizing Data.
  • If you cannot use the production system, you can also use the copy of production system with additional steps: download usage data from production system and upload into the copy system following the SAP Note 2568736. This will bring ST03N data only, it will not reflect the other optional checks such as DVM, BPA, IDOC, HANA Sizing and so on.
  • RC_COLLECT_ANALYSIS_DATAwill trigger several different background jobs based on the options you’ve selected. You must check the job logs to ensure the data was collected properly.

  • Schedule program SYCM_DOWNLOAD_REPOSITORY_INFOas background job in the development system to download the custom code header information in one zip file. Your actual Z-code is not transferred into this file or to SAP. See 2185390 -> Solution for details.

  • First step make sure the checkbox “Simplification Item Consistency” is selected and click the button “Schedule Analysis” to schedule a job to collect data
  • Second step click the button “Download Analysis Data” after the Execution is completed
